We are a Soul Orchestra dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring our audiences through the performance of Black American Music.
Communicate musically, visually, and verbally to the fullest extent possible how truly awe-inspiring and extraordinary Black American Music is. The diverse and extensive genres that constitute this pillar of achievement deserve veneration and must be presented as the works of art they are.
Provide professional and eclectic performances of Black American Music to our local community and web audiences using strings in our arrangements.
Tell the story of Black American Music through our performances and by providing educational resources to the public with web links, curriculum, and presentations.
Demonstrate to our youth (especially young string students) that there are paths for studying and performing music besides the traditional ones presented in schools and institutions of higher education.
Join donors from across the Stockton community and around the world to bring outstanding music, life-changing educational programs and far-reaching engagement activities to thousands of people each year!
